Baugarabous are the Ivory Coast version of a Conga Drum. The head is cowhide laced tight with nylon rope. Played like a conga they have a deep bass, rich full tone, and conga slap. Played in a room full of Djembes they can carry the whole bass accompaniment! Also made from one piece Mahogany wood with Real Goat Skin heads and Nylon rope, these Djembes, Ashikos and Baugarabous are great mid range drums for the professional Musician or Beginner.
